Crista da Onda
Crista da Onda (On the Crest of the Wave) Association is a non-profit
interdenominational Christian association registered in Portugal with
a fraternal relationship with Eastern Europe Outreach, Inc in the USA.
We build committed, long term relationships with disadvantaged, at-risk
youth through innovative and dynamic programs that promote academic skills,
talents, abilities, motivation and dreams. We provide youth living in
youth centers and state orphanages with new opportunities and experiences
through six programs: 1) Educational support, including tutoring services;
2) music and arts classes; 3) community service projects; 4) professional
experience; 5) sports activities; and 6) supervised, constructive time
focused on "hanging out" and developing stable, meaningful relationships
with peers and caring adults. Our ultimate objective is that each of these
kids will be included in a loving Christian family atmosphere, be it an
organized church, youth group, bible study, cell group, single family,
for life. Our focus is two-fold. 
First;
to provide innovative and diverse educational, social and cultural experiences
that will empower and encourage youth ages 12-19 years; second; to fill
a huge gap by creating new and innovative ministry and jobs for young
Christian adults.
